Wisdom Of The Innocent<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Frail and old and all alone,
\n<\/strong><\/span>Without loving wife, life was a moan.
\n<\/strong><\/span>Invited to live with his beloved son,
\n<\/span>For life was dreary and almost done.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

His hands trembled and his eyesight blurred,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

His step faltered, only his hearing endured.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

He ate with the family, best time of his day,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enjoyed laughter and chatter,\u00a0 <\/span>it made him feel gay.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

His failing sight and shaking hands, eating a bit of a chore,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

His dishes slipped, and fell and broke, and landed on the floor.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

His son brought him a wooden bowl, his food was served in there,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A messy eater, who couldn\u2019t be neater, and felt their angry glare.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

His son set him a tiny table, and the old man sat alone,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

No longer part of the family, worst time he\u2019d ever known.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The four year old watched anxiously, \u201cThere is something I must do,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Buy two wooden bowls, for when you are old, so you can sit with grandpa too.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The words made the Parents speechless and brought tears to their eyes,<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

They were instilling in their son for the future, a way that was not wise.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

They tenderly took the old man\u2019s hand and brought him back to their table,
\n<\/span>And for the rest of his days, in all ways, let him do what he was able.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
